Stephen Canna

Stephen Canna
Steve is Deputy General Counsel at Point72, L.P. where he oversees the tax function. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Accounting, cum laude and from Pace University Law School with a J.D. He is a member of the Tax Steering Committee of the Managed Fund Association and he currently serves on the board of directors of the Point72 Employee Giving Foundation, the Stamford Police Foundation, and the Stamford Chamber of Commerce. He started his career in Big 4 public accounting where he worked for 7 years, and later spent 8 years at GE Capital before moving on to S.A.C. Capital and Point72 Asset Management, L.P. where he has been working for the past 19 years. In addition, Stephen was also recently appointed as CFO of the New York Mets!

James Grunberger

James Grunberger
James Grunberger was born and raised in Stamford. He graduated from Stamford public schools and Brown University. In addition to working as a 3rd generation jeweler, he is the Co-Chair and Founder of the East Side Partnership, a safe clean & green initiative.
James is also one of the founders of the Neighbors Link Community, now called "Building One", as well as one of the Founders and mentor of Future 5, a non-profit committed to helping low-income, motivated students in Stamford and Fairfield County since 2009.

Kari Pollak

Kari Pollak
Kari Pollak is Manager of Special Events for Stamford Hospital Foundation, the fundraising arm of Stamford Hospital.
In this position, she is responsible for organizing and executing all of the Foundation’s events throughout the year.
She is known for her extensive event management experience, broad network of resources and attention to detail.
These distinguishing qualities have led to a long line of successful events both in terms of participation and fundraising.

Alexander Rohan

Alexander Rohan
Alexander joined the SPF board of directors in April 2019. He has over 25 years of professional experience in investment banking, law, finance and philanthropy, and is currently a Managing Director at Miller Buckfire, an affiliate of Stifel Financial. Alex also serves on the board of the May Ellen and Gerald Ritter Foundation and previously served on the boards of BuildOn! and the Catholic Foundation for Brooklyn and Queens.
Alex and his family have been part of the Stamford community since 2002.

Jennifer Melgarejo

Jennifer Melgarejo
Jennifer is the VP of Human Resources, is a member of the Senior Leadership Team for Nestlé Waters USA based in Stamford.
As an HR executive and business partner, she designs HR programs and operations that influence people at all levels of the company.
Her goal as an HR leader is to reach out to employees and leaders to understand the challenges they face, learn what they need, and create specific strategies and initiatives that empower them to succeed.
Jennifer has been a Stamford resident for over 11 years and wants to bring her passion and engagement to the community in which she lives by supporting the police officers that keep our city safe. She has been a member of the Stamford Police Foundation since 2019.

Sam Cingari

Sam Cingari
Sam is the Owner of all the Grade A ShopRite Supermarkets in the area, and has provided tremendous help to the Stamford Police Department by providing donations and supplies in need. Most recently, Sam donated gym equipment to the new Police Department in Stamford, which opened in 2019 and has more than doubled the original Headquarters space to 96,000 square feet and a total cost of $44 million. Cingari was honored with the "Youth Champion Award" in 2013 for his years of work with the Stamford Family YMCA and children in the community.

Faris AbiNader

Faris AbiNader
Director of Investor Relations at a leading global hedge fund, specializing in structured products. A native of Washington D.C, Mr. AbiNader holds a B.A from the University of Pennsylvania. He currently resides in the Harbor Point neighborhood of Stamford with his wife Alexandria (Alexa), daughter, and their dog Watson. Philanthropic interest and support has included sponsoring families in need during the holiday season with Greenwich Social Services and support for Mercy Corps. Mr. AbiNader is an active participant in various community athletic leagues, an aspiring Jiu-Jistu practitioner, and former D-1 athlete. He and Alexa enjoy spending their weekends near the Stamford waterfront – biking in Kosciuszko Park and enjoying local restaurants. The AbiNader’s look forward to raising a family in the diverse, dynamic, and evolving community that Stamford represents.
