The Stamford Police Foundation has been named the recipient of the 2024 Stamford Police Association (SPA) President’s Award, recognizing our decade-long commitment to supporting the Stamford Police Department. This prestigious honor acknowledges community members who demonstrate exceptional dedication to supporting local law enforcement.
For over ten years, the Foundation has provided critical funding for numerous police initiatives including gun buyback programs, Special Response Team equipment, Ceremonial Unit uniforms, and officer fitness facilities. The Foundation’s support has been instrumental in maintaining the Crimestoppers Tip Line, which has helped remove over 120 illegal firearms from city streets since the inception of the program.
The Foundation was formally recognized at the annual SPA Awards Dinner on May 30, 2025, where the department celebrates the outstanding achievements of its officers throughout the year.
